Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MFSD1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MFSD1 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher MFSD1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MFSD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC and UCEC are the cancer types where MFSD1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
