Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MFGE8 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MFGE8 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MFGE8 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MFGE8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LUAD, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where MFGE8 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
