Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METTL2B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated METTL2B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher METTL2B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METTL2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where METTL2B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
