Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METTL2B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated METTL2B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher METTL2B mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METTL2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and HNSC show a favorable association.

UCEC, CCRCC, and GBM are the cancer types where METTL2B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
