Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METTL21C RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated METTL21C data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher METTL21C RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METTL21C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and LUAD show a favorable association.
OV, HNSC, and UVM are the cancer types where METTL21C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
