Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METTL21A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated METTL21A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher METTL21A mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METTL21A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and GBM show a favorable association.

UCEC, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where METTL21A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
