Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METTL14 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated METTL14 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher METTL14 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METTL14 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and CCRCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and COAD are the cancer types where METTL14 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
