Across TCGA cell cohorts, METRNL RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 5,262 significant associations in total. BONE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible METRNL-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Brown fat cell differentiation, Regulation of proteolysis, and Protein localization to endoplasmic reticulum. Each is linked with METRNL in more than 14 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both METRNL-to-partner and partner-to-METRNL results are reported.
