Across TCGA cell cohorts, METRNL mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 6 significant associations in total. CNS shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible METRNL-associated genes across cancer lineages are BIRC8, FOXB2, and USP17L17. Each is linked with METRNL in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both METRNL-to-partner and partner-to-METRNL results are reported.
