Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, METRN RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated METRN data layer compared with 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher METRN RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated METRN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and OV show a favorable association.
UCS, UVM, and COAD are the cancer types where METRN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
