Across TCGA patient cohorts, MEST mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 13 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MEST-associated genes across cancer lineages are mTOR_pS2448, VHL, and eIF4E. Each is linked with MEST in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MEST-to-partner and partner-to-MEST results are reported.
