Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MEF2D RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MEF2D data layer compared with 9 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher MEF2D RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MEF2D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.

UVM, KIRC, and ACC are the cancer types where MEF2D RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
