Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MED25 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MED25’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where MED25 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MED25 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, STAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where MED25 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
