Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MED17 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MED17 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher MED17 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MED17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where MED17 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
