Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MED12L RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MED12L data layer compared with 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher MED12L RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MED12L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and SCLC show a favorable association.
BLCA, BRCA, and SCLC are the cancer types where MED12L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
