Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MED12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MED12 data layer compared with 13 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher MED12 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MED12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and KIRC show a favorable association.
SCLC, KIRC, and GBM are the cancer types where MED12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
