Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MECR Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MECR data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MECR Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MECR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where MECR Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
