Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ME2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ME2 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher ME2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ME2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where ME2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
