Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MDK mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MDK data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MDK mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MDK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

COAD, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where MDK mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
