Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MDH2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MDH2 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher MDH2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MDH2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
CESC and PRAD are the cancer types where MDH2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
