Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MCM3AP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MCM3AP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where MCM3AP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MCM3AP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LIHC, THCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where MCM3AP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
