Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MCAT Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MCAT data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MCAT Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MCAT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD and LIHC are the cancer types where MCAT Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
