Across TCGA patient cohorts, MCAT protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12,434 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MCAT-associated genes across cancer lineages are CNRIP1, RAB8B, and FLI1. Each is linked with MCAT in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MCAT-to-partner and partner-to-MCAT results are reported.
