Across TCGA cell cohorts, MCAM RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 5,382 significant associations in total. BREAST shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MCAM-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Regulation of cell-substrate junction assembly, Protein insertion into ER membrane, and Regulation of focal adhesion assembly. Each is linked with MCAM in more than 10 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MCAM-to-partner and partner-to-MCAM results are reported.
