Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MBL2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MBL2 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MBL2 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MBL2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and LIHC show a favorable association.

KIRC, STAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where MBL2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
