Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MBD3L1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MBD3L1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MBD3L1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MBD3L1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LIHC show a favorable association.

KIRC, ACC, and BRCA are the cancer types where MBD3L1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
