Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MATN2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MATN2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MATN2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MATN2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC show a favorable association.

LUAD, CCRCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where MATN2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
