Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MATN1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MATN1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MATN1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MATN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP, BLCA, and TGCT are the cancer types where MATN1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
