Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MATN1-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MATN1-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MATN1-AS1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MATN1-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and BRCA show a favorable association.

SKCM, KIRP, and KIRC are the cancer types where MATN1-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
