Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAT2B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MAT2B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MAT2B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAT2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD and UCEC are the cancer types where MAT2B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
