Across TCGA patient cohorts, MAPT protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12,784 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MAPT-associated genes across cancer lineages are CDKL1, PPM1A, and ANKRD12. Each is linked with MAPT in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MAPT-to-partner and partner-to-MAPT results are reported.
