Across TCGA patient cohorts, MAP2 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 20,721 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MAP2-associated genes across cancer lineages are RNA5SP118, GPR161, and CBX6. Each is linked with MAP2 in more than 8 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MAP2-to-partner and partner-to-MAP2 results are reported.
