Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP1LC3B RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAP1LC3B data layer compared with 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher MAP1LC3B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAP1LC3B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and KIRP show a favorable association.
ESCA, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where MAP1LC3B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
