Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP1A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MAP1A data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher MAP1A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAP1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCEC show a favorable association.
UCS, STAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where MAP1A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
