Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAP10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MAP10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where MAP10 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MAP10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where MAP10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
