Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MANF RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MANF data layer compared with 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MANF RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MANF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and COAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, ACC, and SARC are the cancer types where MANF RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
