Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAFK RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAFK data layer compared with 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MAFK RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAFK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and THYM show a favorable association.
LUAD, CESC, and LGG are the cancer types where MAFK RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
