Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LY6G6C RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LY6G6C’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where LY6G6C RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LY6G6C is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, KICH, and THCA are the cancer types where LY6G6C tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
