Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LTA4H RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LTA4H data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher LTA4H RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LTA4H expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and BRCA show a favorable association.
UVM, BRCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where LTA4H RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
