Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LSM14A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LSM14A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher LSM14A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LSM14A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and SARC are the cancer types where LSM14A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
