Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LSM14A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LSM14A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher LSM14A mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LSM14A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and CCRCC show a favorable association.
GBM, CCRCC, and LSCC are the cancer types where LSM14A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
