Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRC8D mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LRRC8D data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher LRRC8D mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LRRC8D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and CCRCC are the cancer types where LRRC8D mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
