Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRC8A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LRRC8A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher LRRC8A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LRRC8A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

THCA are the cancer types where LRRC8A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
