Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRC59 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LRRC59’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where LRRC59 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LRRC59 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where LRRC59 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
