Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRC23 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LRRC23 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher LRRC23 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LRRC23 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and BRCA show a favorable association.
SKCM, COAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where LRRC23 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
