Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRRC14 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LRRC14’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where LRRC14 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LRRC14 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where LRRC14 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
