Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LRPPRC RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LRPPRC’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where LRPPRC RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LRPPRC is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, LUAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where LRPPRC tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
