Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LOX mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LOX data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher LOX mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LOX expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

CCRCC, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where LOX mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
