Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LIPA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LIPA data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher LIPA Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LIPA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where LIPA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
