Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC02240 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC02240’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where LINC02240 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC02240 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, KIRC, and ESCA are the cancer types where LINC02240 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
